Reviving a name first applied to a Ferrari in the 1950s, the latest 2+2 Ferrari California is a two-door sports convertible with a folding hardtop. Originally equipped with a naturally-aspirated 4.3-litre V8 engine, this was replaced in 2014 by a new twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 unit. When first brought in, in 2008, the California was meant to sit as an entry to the Ferrari range, yet it also came with several technical innovations such as multi-link suspension, direct fuel injection, and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The 4.3-litre engine pumps out 453bhp, and produces its maximum power at a relatively low 5,000rpm. With its engine front-amidships and gearbox out back, it has a near-perfect weight distribution of 47% front: 53% rear. An updated traction control system helps boost the California's acceleration exiting corners, and although the California has a rear bench seat which qualifies it as a 2+2 seater, owners could specify that this was replaced by an extra luggage storage area. And although it was a completely different beast, the California could sprint from rest to 60 in the same four seconds as an F430.

The car underwent an upgrade in 2012, making it lighter and more powerful, which also saw the removal of the manual gearbox option. This upgrade was also one of the first cars to come under the 'Tailor Made' programme, which gave owners input to their car's design while it was still on the Maranello factory floor. A turbocharged model came in from 2014, with a revised engine and transmission and design cues from the F12. But that was to be the California's swansong, and production was already being wound down.

Excellent service and incredibly fast delivery! I recently purchased an LH window regulator from Scuderia Car Parts and had a great experience. The ordering process was easy, and I was very impressed with how quickly they processed and shipped my order. I’m located in Canada, and the part was sent via express delivery and arrived much faster than I expected. Everything was handled efficiently from purchase to delivery. Very happy with the service and overall experience. I would definitely order from Scuderia Car Parts again and highly recommend them, especially if you’re looking for genuine or hard-to-find car parts with fast international shipping.

I enjoy buying quality parts for my luxury car, there is a peace of mind that I get from purchasing through Scuderia. Some parts are sourced from other countries and Scuderia does a good job in my opinion to get the part from suppliers to me as quickly as they can.
